Gale Shamblott started her artistic career at the age of five. While growing up, she entered many local art contests and juried shows and sold her first painting before she was 16. Gale has taken various art classes in high school and her first formal training did not start until she entered the University of Minnesota. In recent years, she has been studying at the Art Center of Minnesota.
Throughout her career she has participated in local art shows, winning first place in a juried show sponsored by the North Hennepin Art Association at the age of 20. Another career highlight was doing the portrait of Ronald McDonald that hangs in the lobby of the Minneapolis Ronald McDonald House. This painting captured the artistic eye of local advertising people and was featured in numerous television commercials.
Gale is very versatile in subject matter, starting out painting clown portraits and growing into contemporary images. Her contemporary images deal with color and color movement which the viewer may become absorbed with and spark one's imagination so that the images take on new meanings and continue to grow.
